Terms

Last updated: 1 September 2026

These are the terms for using alsohere. They are short because the app does little: it asks one question a workday and keeps your answer.

What this is

One question a workday, and your answer. It is for you, not for the place you work.

Your answers are yours

Nobody is told what any one person answered. Not your employer, not the people you work with.

What your office sees

Counts over five workdays, once at least 12 people have confirmed a work address there. Too few on any one answer and no split is shown.

What everybody else sees

Nothing, unless the people who work at an office vote to show it: at least 12 of them, with two thirds saying yes. They can change that at any time.

Not a health service

alsohere is not a health service, a medical device, or a substitute for either. It does not assess anyone, diagnose anything, or offer advice. If you are struggling, please speak to a doctor or a helpline in your country.

Nothing in the app should be read as a judgement about you or anybody else.

Your account

You need a work email address to join an office, because the domain is what shows you work there. You may only join the workplace your own address belongs to.

Do not use somebody else's address, and do not use alsohere to work out how a particular person is doing. Nothing in the app will help you do that, and attempting it is a misuse of it.

Invitations

You can invite colleagues at your own domain, up to ten a day. An invitation names nobody — not you, not anyone's answers — and each person is written to at most once.

You can stop

Delete the app and everything on your phone goes with it. Choose Delete everything, in Settings, and your account and every answer behind it go too. Immediately, and for good.

What we sell

Nothing. There are no adverts here, no other companies' code inside the app, and nothing about you is sold or passed on.

What is not promised

The app is provided as it is. It is free, it is early, and it may be unavailable, lose data, or contain mistakes. Aggregate counts are shown in good faith and depend on what people choose to answer.

To the extent the law allows, Randy Berridge is not liable for loss arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend an account that is being used to identify individuals, to send unwanted mail, or to join a workplace that is not yours.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer somewhere that gives you the right to bring a claim locally, this clause does not take that right away from you.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the app after that means accepting them.
